Sharing Experience in Agile Software Development

Organisation

AgileNorth.org.uk is a non profit organisation. It has its roots in the British Computer Society (BCS) Object Oriented Programming and Systems (OOPS) group.

In 1993 Phran Ryder formed a branch (OOPS NW) in the north west of the UK. The group was active for 5 or 6 years.

In 2004 the BCS OOPS became BCS Software Practice Advancement (SPA). At that time Kevin Rutherford reformed OOPS NW under the title SPA NW. In 2005 the group was renamed  AgileNorth.org.uk to better reflect its purpose and interests. AgileNorth is now independent of the BCS SPA but maintains a close relationship.
